I love Blogging
While in class today, we started watching a movie about Jackie Robinson. It's amazing that we overcame slavery, but we couldn't have black people in the MLB. I found it funny when they said "the white players were scared that they were going to get their positions stolen." That line is so true. When you look at sports today, it is prodominently black players and a few white players. Why do you think this is? Is this a way of God getting back at us for slavery?

I think they were scared because the knew it was wrong to let african americans not play. They also knew that they were better than them. I think blacks play more sports now and are mostly better than whites is because they have an extra tendon in their leg that helps them to be more athletic. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that everyone was just brought up with the idea that blacks were not equal, and no one wanted to go against the idea. Also you are rigth there are tons of black players now... look at the NBA, but what about NHL, that is mostly whites!

ReplyDeleteI don't think more african americans in sports is God getting back at us for slavery. Athletes either race have to work hard to get there and you see the ones on t.v and in games that have worked the hardest to get to that point(if that makes sense.)
